Seymour Johnson, NC

So for the remainder of Pauls and I's AF careers we will be living in North Carolina! I am pretty excited about this big move that will be happening at the begining of August!!! We really wanted to go to Florida, but I guess there are wayyy worse places to live than North Carolina. We thought we were going to be sent to New Mexico (YUCK!) bc there were 20 slots for Paul there, but we really lucked out with NC! Paul will be working of F-15's now.. he is not too excited about it bc 15's require just as much maintance as the F-16's he has worked on for the past 3 years here in Italy!!
I will be working in the Dental Clinic there, and from what I have heard it's a pretty small clinic!! YAY!! We won't have to see any dependents there, Only Active Duty members!!! And there is not a residency there, so that means even less work for us assistants;) Cant wait to talk to my sponsor and find out even more info!
I have already been scoping out houses, and fast food joints near by ;) Paul is making fun of me for this, but I have been deprived of fatty greasy treats for the past 2 years!!!
Seymour Johnson is located in Goldsboro, NC! About an hour to the beach.. :) And only 30 mins from my bestest GF Britney Page at East Carolina University! So happy to be living RIGHT NEXT DOOR to her! It will be so nice to know a familiar non-military girl!!:)

Paul is STILL TDY in Maine:( Not even quite sure when he will be bak! Maybe another week or 2??? I leave Monday morning for a week in Papa, Hungary.. We will be working on the active duty and family members of that isolated base! And I am pretty estatic to get outa the Aviano clinic for a change of sceanery, even if it is only for 5 days!!!

So many bigg changes are happening in the very near future for my sweet hubby and I and I am toooo excited I can hardly sleep at night. Buttt, I so sleep so much better at night knowing that the crazy air force has given us a new home. And in a pretty awesome location for that matter!!

If I see one more ant walking around in my damn house I am going to scream!! I feel like the damn exterminator here!!! We live in a very OLD italian house.. Prob 100 yrs old! and ants are everywhere i turn around!! I am over it! I have spent more money on Raid in the past 2 years here than hair products.. grr!

Another random note, Sammy my little 8 month old kitty got neutered yesterday and he has been avoiding me like the pplague! :( He is in pain and they didnt give him any meds!!! Poor guy, hope he gets to feel better soon!!!

Okay, well I will try to be better at keeping up with this!! I have been swamped with work, and hitting the gym lately!!!

Mondayyyy!

So Paul is still in Maine, and after talking w/him a few minutes ago he told me not to hold my breath for him to be home anytime soon!:( What a waiting game!

Work was good. Still saving the world one tooth at a time!! Monday went by quick.. lets hope the rest of the week flies by too!!

No major plans this week, besides my big final on Friday afternoon! Ekk.. So it is off to study... And wrap this research paper up!!

I just finished my first "Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches" and i must admit, it was amazingggggg! Only 150 calories. Might be my new guilty pleasure! Yummmy!!!

Cheers and Ciao!

I think it's time!

So after chatting with a friends last week about blogging I have decided I will give it a go!! I am utterly obsessed with reading my friends blogs and am so amazed at the things they have to share. (yes, it is a bit nosey, but isn't that what keeping a blog is for??) I feel I have a ton of chit chat I can share.

So I will give a quick update and share some random thoughts.

If you don't know, Paul and I are both in the Air Force serving in Italy!! We are getting ready to get out of here in Aug 2010! (THAT IS ONLY 4 MONTHS AWAY!!!-- I'm not excited or anything) Paul's job is a crew chief on the F-16 Fighter Jets, and I am a Dental Technician. I happen to LOVE my job, and will most likely stay in the Dentistry career field. (Either become a CDA, Higenist, or DENTIST!!) If not, nursing school it is!! I have always wanted to 'help' people and there is no better career field than the medical side of things. (ask my mom, i was a loser magnet in high school, if there was a needy person out there, I'd be their best friend!!!) We should be getting an assignment toward the end of April. Fingers crossed, they will send us to either Florida(Eglin), Virginia(Langley), or Arizona(Luke)! This is such an exciting time for Paul and I. After being in a foreign country for soo long, we will finally be able to settle down, MAYBE buy a house, and be able to live a normal lifestyle!! Our house in Italy is extremely small, and we haven't been able to splurge on new furniture yet, because personally we are not down with them putting all our NICE things on a boat and shipping it back to the states. I don't want things to be broken or ruined! So we are holding out. (I hardly want to even clean anymore, I am so tired of being here!;)

I guess all this negative talk about being here in Italy makes you think I have HATED this assignment, but thats not the case at all!! I have gone on some trips with my husband that I will never forget!!! We have soaked up the Italian lifestyle at every given opportunity, and I must say Italy is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my entire life! The people are also very kind and helpful!!! And the food... there are no words for! YUM! We have been to- Germany (Berlin for Thanksgiving and Munich-for Oktoberfest-2 yrs in a row baby!!), Austria (Salzburg, Innsburick, and Stubai), Leucern Switzerland, Chinque Terre, Verona, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Bologna, Milan, Croatia, Solvenia, and so many other mini local trips (ALL THE BEACHES! gota love the salty Adratic Sea) So needless to say I have had an awesome time!!! A Greece trip is in the making for July!

Paul has been in the USA on a predeployment TDY for the past 3 months!!! (he's not deploying, but all the guys he works with are. THANK God we are PCSing Soon!) He has stopped in Florida, Vegas, South Carolina, and now he is stuck in Maine! Jets keep breaking and delaying his return back to me!!! I know I know for all you military buffs, It's apart of the mission and this is what you signed up for.... But it suks- flat out, sucks!!! I don't think absence makes the heart grow fonder, I think it just pisses everyone in the relationship off. Especially when you are just waiting , and waitinggggg!:( It has not been fun. And I miss my sweet baby. I am extremely lonely!

Okay.. Well I am going to wrap this up.. I have a research paper due next week that I have hardly touched! Why I signed up for a class right now is beyond me. Guess I am just trying to get a fairly decent EPR this round. And the schooling is FREEEE while you are on Active Duty, so I am giving it go, even tho I am not very motivated after working a 50 hour work week!!!!!

I will update tomorrow, and try to be religious about this blogging thing!! Have a happy Saturday!
